A small, stumpy tree trunk sticks out of a dull gray, grassy hillside. The sky is yellow-gray. The trunk has several random objects fixed to it: a satellite dish, a traffic light displaying a yellow signal, a birdhouse, and a solar panel. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

Several machines of indeterminate function and purpose, piled like boxes in a dull gray space. The machines have round holes, buttons, and dials, and are old and slightly rusty. The top one is blue, the middle one is red, and the lowest is a greenish gray. A person is standing on the second one, touching the topmost. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A strange, misshapen object hangs in a dark space, suspended by several thin cables from something unseen. The object is somewhere between artificial, geological, and organic: looks sort of like an asteroid but with softer curves, as well as vents and pipes sticking out of it. It has two chimneys, both of them emitting smoke. On the left is an arched window, glowing green. The object is mostly dark, but is lit green from the underside, with iridescent shades of indigo. Below is a diffuse glowing green light. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman."

An assembly line in a drab gray room. Yellow spheres sit on a conveyor belt. Below the conveyor belt are various wires and machinery. Above the conveyor belt are robotic arms that spray red paint and draw eyebrows and frowns on the spheres, transforming them into the "angry" emoji one sees on Facebook. Above, a figure wearing a suit and tie observes from a glowing green window. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A bright yellow sky with a bright white sun. Beneath it is a green glass cylinder with a domed top, the sort of thing that wealthy 19th-century chaps who dabbled in science kept their sinister biological curios in. This one looks a little more contemporary—maybe even futuristic, with a few pipes going into it and a greenish metal base with some vents and dials. A person or being of some sort is dimly visible through the glass. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A person pilots an unusual delivery vehicle through the dark. The vehicle is an iridescent green and looks like a space helmet mounted on four legs. Each leg has an orange cowboy boot on it. The windshield of the vehicle is purple, and the driver is silhouetted behind it. On the side of the vehicle is a small round hatch, perhaps a fuel port, and a logo of a gift with a curved arrow under it. The vehicle has two antennae with glowing white lights on them, and a single round headlight that casts an intense white-green beam. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A retro television—one of those boxy things with the dials on the side—hovers in the glare of a single white spotlight. The surrounding area is dark. The TV is maybe a foot above the ground and casts a blurry shadow. The screen shows nothing but colored static. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A fortified castle tower—really just a stone cylinder—stands at the top of a very craggy, very sharp hill overlooking the ocean. The sky is a pale greenish color. The tower has two slitlike windows and an open, arched door, and is crumbling at the top. The only signs of life are the two birds flying about the top of it, and the UFO hovering in the sky to its right, glinting in the sun. On the underside of the UFO is a circular opening that is glowing white. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A large orange robot, with an iridescent greenish sheen to it, stands in a dark space. Its head is placed on a green pedestal in front of it. The head is plugged into a wall outlet, and the eye displays a green "charging" lightning bolt icon. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A dark figure pushes a cart through a bright green meadow under a mostly clear, blue sky. In the cart is a large, rusty, metal cube with a white question mark roughly spray-painted on one side. The cube looks like those question boxes in Nintendo games. There are a few colorful wildflowers dotting the meadow, and a wispy cloud or two in the sky. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A person sits under a tree on a bright sunny day, working at a laptop. The person is sitting on a lush green hill. Above, the sunlight blazes through the leaves, producing a white-yellow glow. In the distance, a purple mountain range sits under a blue sky. This is an interpretation of Apple Computer's first logo, featuring Isaac Newton. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman" in rainbow lettering.

A dark gray cloudy evening, or maybe early morning. On a small rocky hill in front of an ocean stands a streetlight, looking completely out of place. It casts a dim, pinkish light onto the rocky ground around it. There are no other urban structures to be seen. The ocean is vast and a bioluminescent green. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A person sits in a glass bubble on top of a gunmetal-green tower. The tower is complex and futuristic, with various wires and details. The sky behind the tower is pink towards the horizon, fading to a dark blue. The bubble reflects both the pink light towards the horizon and a bluish light from above. There are a few glowing white lights in the sky that don't look like stars. The person is sitting at a desk in the bubble, working at a small retro Macintosh computer. They are illuminated by the white glow of the screen. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A rusty but still functional industrial facility: an arrangement of several tall smokestacks and pipes sticking out of a building. Orange smoke pours from the smokestacks, contrasting against the blue dusk sky. A door is open on the building, revealing a glowing orange interior. A figure stands in the doorway. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A grassy, bluish-green landscape under a blazing yellow sky. Descending from the sky, attached to a large red balloon, is a blue figure wearing a futuristic space suit. The suit has yellow dots and buttons, and the figure is holding something that looks like a 1950s sci-fi raygun. A few birds circle in the sky in the distance. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A huge, boxy machine of some sort is lowered from an unseen source up above in the yellow sky. It is the size of a small house and a dull, metallic gray, with various vents and protrusions that make it look sort of like a generator. On top, it has a small chimney and several antennae. On the sides, it has several orange warning decals. The text on these signs isn't visible, but they have a large smiley-face icon. Standing on the ground, directing at interposition, is a figure wearing an orange helmet and an orange and neon green reflective vest. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A strange, monstrous-looking machine that looks like the rusting cab of a classic truck, mounted on two mechanical legs. Running center down the front of the cab is a line that divides the windshield and ends in a sharp nose. On either side of the cab are two curled, pointed fins that strongly suggest ears. The machine has one visible robot arm with clawed fingers. While the machine is primarily a rusty brown color, it has orange- and purple-tinged areas, with green spots on the rear side. Its legs are also purple, with blue spots and several spikes. It is wandering through a bluish-purple meadow under a bright green sky with a blazing white sun. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A pixelated icon of a small computer: an all-in-one model with both a screen and a disk drive. The screen has a smiling face on it. This, of course, is Susan Kare's Happy Mac: the first thing you'd see after turning on your Mac in the 80s or 90s (well, second thing, if your machine didn't have a hard drive). The icon is white pixels on a black background. The pixels glow with a neon blaze of rainbow colors: the six colors of the classic Apple logo. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman". Thanks for everything, Mac team.

A bright yellow rubber duck floats in the calm blue-green expanse of the open ocean, under a mostly clear blue sky. On closer inspection, though, the duck has some sinister details: a round, glassy, reddish eye that looks distinctly technological; a small vent; and, most notably, a radio antenna sticking up out of its back. Fixed to the antenna is a slightly ragged black pirate flag with a skull and crossbones on it. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman". Happy January 13.

A figure runs through the dark, pointing a blazing whitish-green flashlight beam in front of it. The figure wears a dark, drab-brown suit and tie, and is sprinting out of the dark bluish fog that surrounds it. Its head is enormous—at least twice the size of its body—and looks like the square, minimalist "talking head" icon from classic Mac dialog boxes. The head is blue and looks like a blueprint, but hardly an organized one: it is covered with a chaotic scramble of lines, arrows, flowcharts, and scribbles that suggest a deeply disorganized mind. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A small, silver, bullet-shaped rocket ship sits in a deep, cylindrical hole carved into the brown earth. The hole is seen in profile, as though the viewer is looking at a cross-section of the earth. The ship has a single round bluish window, and three pods. On its left side, a round hatch is open to reveal some internal pipes and wires. Standing on a small platform, peering into the hatch, is a person holding a hammer and wearing a headlamp. The headlamp illuminates the pipes and wires with a bright green-white glow. The soil looms all around, speckled with rocks and boulders. Above the hole, the sky is clear and blue. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A person pushes a large, wooden, brownish two-wheeled cart over barren bluish-red ground. Standing in the cart is a giant blue robot with a dark brass metal clock key sticking out of its back. The robot is holding a metal steering wheel attached to a steering column. The sky is red-brown, turning yellow towards the horizon. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

An old-time cathode-ray-tube TV is balanced precariously on a very thin, narrow mountain peak. That is, it would be balanced precariously if it weren't held in place by a multitude of supports, pipes, tubes, and even wires. The mountain is a dull purplish rock, although some of the pipes have a greenish sheen. The screen of the TV shows an iridescent blue-green color, with no discernible image or pattern. The sky is yellow-gold, with a blazing white sun in the top right. A few birds are visible in the distance. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A rather grim and dilapidated structure that suggests Big Ben stands against a blue, pink-tinged sky. The structure is a tall tower with a rusty, patched-together metal base. On the base is a large analog clock face with glowing green digital numerals and hands. The clock looks like a digital clock with an analog face, and is displaying 9:41. The clock is also made of rusty metal, with a few odd controls on the front and side, including a hand crank. The very top of the tower is a small wooden shack with a pointed roof that is perched on top of the clock. The shack is painted a fading red, with a few graffiti tags. Sticking out of the roof are a chimney and some antennae. The front of the shack is dominated by a large arched yellow window. Standing in the window is the silhouette of a figure. The painting is signed “Chris Silverman”.

A barren, flat expanse under a red-orange sunset sky. There is a glow of yellow light around the horizon. In the foreground, a person stands in front of a large metal box mounted on a pole, like an electrical box or a traffic light control box. Sticking out of the top of the box is a rall, complex mast that has boxes and antennae mounted on it. The door to the box is open, revealing a glowing green interior. The person is reaching into the box, doing something unclear. There is a windup clock key sticking out of the person’s back. The painting is signed “Chris Silverman”.

A person wearing dark green pants, a red jacket with white trimming, and a red stocking cap with a white fringe pushes a large red package up a ramp. The package the size of a mini-fridge, and is tied with a white bow. The ramp it is being pushed up leads into a large red vehicle that looks like the sleigh version of a freight truck. White light glows from the interior of the sleigh. In place of wheels, it has heavy iron runners. The side has a gold border; the word “North”, probably part of “North Pole”, is written in large gold letters. The sleigh has a small orange light on what would be its bumper, and a larger glowing orange light in the top right. A light snow is falling. The background is gray. The painting is signed “Chris Silverman”.

An odd, spherical, metal machine that looks sort of like a submersible hovers in a purple-pink space. The machine is a dull, dark, brassy color, with several pipe-like towers, protuberances, and antennae extending off of it. It has three round windows of varying sizes placed at haphazard locations. All of them reveal a glowing green interior. In one of them sits a cat. In the sky behind the machine are three blazing white-yellow objects that look like celestial bodies. The painting is signed “Chris Silverman”.

A dystopian background of dull orange, lighter towards the top, as though sunlight is reflecting off fog. Dominating the canvas is a huge, otherworldly something: a weird mix of industrial and organic elements. The something is metallic blue with tinges of rust, and is covered with curved bars and striations. Sticking off it at odd angles are cylinders, some of which are giving off orange smoke. It has small glowing greenish-white lights at various points on its body. Its size—approximately that of a small house—is conveyed by the person standing on top of it. The person is carrying an unidentifiable high-tech tool that looks sort of like a wrench, spitting a jet of orange fire. The person is wearing a suit with a glowing green visor and three glowing white buttons. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A hunched figure wearing a coat and a hat walks under a gray night sky and a slightly hazy full moon. The figure has a gnarled cane, and might look like an elderly person out for a walk if it weren't for the fact that its entire upper body is a traffic signal, the red and yellow lights blazing. A low fog hangs over the ground. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A person stands in a bright red space, holding a yellow flame. Rather than appearing brightly lit, the space feels more like a dark room lit by a fire, with shadows pressing in all around. In front of the person, mounted on a pillar like a sculpture, is a vast and weird object: part asteroid, part machine, with organic folds and striations. The parts of the object closest to the flame glow yellow, fading into red and purple. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A clear blue sky, with a few stars visible, sometime around dusk or dawn. In the background is a blurry treeline, with a yellow-green glow about it. In the foreground is a small dark mailbox in the middle of a grassy area. Hovering in the sky above is a vast black UFO. A circular hatch is open underneath it, revealing a glowing green interior. The UFO is surrounded by an eerie glow. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".
