An impressionist scene of an abandoned building at night. The building is an old stone house missing a roof. One inner wall of the house is visible; an arched window lets in moonlight. On the wall facing the viewer is an empty arched doorway with a few stairs beneath it. A small stony hill leads down from the building. Greenish moonlight reflects off the hill. In the sky, the moon blazes white. This is a predominantly blue painting composed with heavy brushwork and bright colors. The brushstrokes surrounding the moon are a mix of white, yellow, bright, green, and various shades of blue.
