A very tall, dilapidated sign. The sign is an arrow shaped like an uppercase L, with the arrowhead at the base of the L, pointing right. The word "motel" is printed on the L in large, faded, red letters. The sign is weatherbeaten, with holes and patches on it, and is supported by a few rickety support beams. It appears to be in the middle of a desert: flat brown land, golden sky, yellow sun. The arrowhead is pointed at a small birdhouse directly to the right of the sign. Perched on top of the sign is a black bird.

It's early morning or early evening. The sky is an indigo blue. A small rocket takes off from a simple launchpad, blasting into the air and leaving a towering inferno on the ground. The problem is that the rocket has launched at an angle, bouncing off the support structure to the left of it before seemingly regaining its trajectory and heading for space. The support structure has two small, pale, white lights on it and is slightly faded towards the top, suggesting fog. On the side of the rocket is a single round portal, revealing a figure silhouette in greenish light.

A very tall, J-shaped creature that looks a little like something between a chicken and an ostrich. It has two spindly legs, an explosion of feathers sticking up from the back, and a very tall neck. However, it also has two small arms higher up on its neck. It is mostly a black silhouette framed against a dark blue sky, with one bright white eye visible.

A headless figure, its right arm placed on its hip, stands casually in a large white space, casting a slight gray shadow. Above, a red balloon with a long string flies away from where the figure's head would be.

A scene at night. Two tall, thin towers rise out of the fog. Connecting them is a horizontal bridge with iron latticework beneath it. At the top of each tower is a glowing yellow light. A person stands on the bridge. Above, in the sky, is a glowing full moon. The bridge looks like an uppercase letter H. This is a primarily blue drawing with accents of fluorescent green for the fog.

An uppercase letter G. The G is fluorescent greenish-blue on a black background, and looks like it's comprised of staticky glowing vertical lines. The effect is somewhere between ghostly and technological.

A fancy, scripted capital F. The F is golden white on a crimson and orange textured background.

An uppercase sans-serif italic letter E. The letter is three-dimensional, with the front of it being bluish-green and the sides orange and yellow. The letter is on a rough, dark-green background. The overall style is very worn and textural, as though the letter is painted on an old wooden surface.

A large, uppercase D. The letter is yellow, stenciled on a textured black background. In the top left and lower right corners are yellow splashes where the paint spilled over the square stencil template. The letter is grubby and smudged, as if it's been stenciled on asphalt in a parking lot.

A large, black-letter capital C. The letter is on a mostly white background stained with blue, green, and yellow. The letter is darker; it looks like a black letter painted heavily with bright colors.

A large, uppercase B, in a serif typeface that suggests Trajan or some old-style type face primarily used on stone. The letter is white, on a dark blue background. However, the letter is covered with a colorful array of yellow, red, green, and magenta paint splashes.

A large, uppercase, sans-serif letter A. The letter is set on a dark gray-black background and looks three-dimensional, as if cut from wood. The front of the letter is yellow; the sides are a mix of dark orange and hot pink.
