A bright yellow sky. In the top right of the sky is a round white sun. Hanging from the top of the sky is a light with a gray, metal, hemispherical shade, like the sort of light you'd find hanging from a ceiling. The light is casting a cone of darkness. Standing under the cone is a dark purple figure holding a lantern. The lantern casts a warm, yellow glow in the darkness of the anti-light coming from above. Stars are visible in the darkness, as though the lamp isn't just casting darkness, but night.

A dark, cloudy evening—or perhaps morning—at sea. The sky is a dark blue, and the water is a very dark blue. Standing up in a very small boat is a ghostly greenish figure holding up a glowing green lantern. Far away, nearly on the horizon, is another small boat, with another pale figure holding up a lantern. Time passes slowly out here.

A figure stands alone, silhouetted in the blazing glare of two bright white spotlights in the top right of the drawing. The figure appears to be wearing a jacket and hat, and is holding a glowing red lantern. There are very few details about the surroundings or the ground—most of the painting is gray—but there are hints of reflections on the ground, as though the figure is standing on a wet surface.

2023/04/24

A fellow wearing a top hat rides in an odd conveyance with only one truck wheel on either side. It's a dismal night: no stars, no moon. The only light comes from the phosphor-green lantern held by the rider, whose face is eerily lit. There is also a red taillight. There's a suggestion of clouds overhead, but the general environment is barren and featureless.

2023/04/23

Three large fragments of rock, surrounded by smaller bits and pieces. The three largest pieces have a human eye, looking towards the center part of the work. At the center stands a small figure, holding a lantern. The placement of the three large rocks with eyes in them forms a cavelike passageway, and the lantern-holding figure appears to be exploring the cave.
