The end of a concrete dock at night. The sky is a deep blue and filled with stars. A low layer of greenish mist covers the water. The dock is low and flat, with a few leaking pipes on the side. On the dock itself is a small, boxy shack with a large dish antenna mounted on the roof. The shack and antenna are lit on the right side by a pale source of light located offscreen; maybe the headlights of a parked but running car. On the left side of the shack, facing out to sea, is a glowing white light. At the very end of the dock, a figure stands, holding a glowing yellow lantern out over the water. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A lonely, wooded mountaintop under a greenish-yellow sky. Blazing in the top right of the sky is a white dot: not the moon, not the sun, something else. A small gray path winds up the mountain. At the top of the mountain is a crumbling, abandoned radio installation: a small shack and a large dish on a tower. A single bird is in the sky.
