A dark, dull night—the world is a slate-green color. A figure wearing a hat and coat stands over a perfectly round, cylindrical hole in the ground, illuminated only by the yellow glow of a lantern. A ladder protrudes from the hole. In the immediate background is the blurry suggestion of bushes; in the far background loom two tall cooling towers reminiscent of a nuclear power plant. The towers have small, glowing red lights on them. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".
